ARC Industries’ turbine design addresses critical operational constraints plaguing the vertical-axis wind-turbine industry, including low-power generation performance (most only work in a narrow range of wind speeds), low reliability, high noise levels, and killing flying wildlife.

ARC Industries’ low cut-in speed, innovative control system, and 3-kilowatt generator are designed to deliver high energy density over a wide range of wind speeds and avoid ecological impacts on local fauna.

  • Do I need a flat roof?

    The Orb can be installed on any roof pitch. We can also install our turbine on a pole if desired.

    Do I need to be connected to a power grid?

    Our turbine can be deployed in both off-grid and on-grid applications.

    What is the expected lifespan of the unit?

    We expect The Orb to operate for between 15-20 years. However, we have designed all of our components to be hot swappable. This means that even if a blade or generator is damaged, you can replace that part instead of needing to by an entirely new system.
